Information Ecologies
This oversized book appropriates the visual language of information graphics but strips them of their function, thereby questioning the authority of the "information graphic." The book starts with the accurate depiction of data based on global demographics. Statistics on religion, population, energy consumption and internet usage are faithfully rendered in graphs, but as the book progresses, the graphs become increasingly non-sensical. Text regarding globalization and technology supplement the visual elements, providing multiple interpretations between text and image.
